Job Description

The exponential growth of technology has made IT one of the critical success factors for every business function within JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS. To enable IT as a competitive advantage, we are transforming our IT department towards a true technology business partner. The department of Global Information Services (GIS), administers this in three expertise area’s: Service & Operations, Enterprise Solutions and Strategy & Planning.

The Global Technology Manager Trade Promotion Management is part of the Global IT CPG Sales department. Global IT CPG sales acts as a technology partner for the CPG Sales Business function. By improving operational excellence of the CPG Sales function of JDE we strengthen the core purpose of our company: to bring a coffee for every cup.

In this role you will provide guidance for functional and technical IT solutions. Working alongside the Business, you will advise on conformance to JDE IT standards such as but not limited to JDE IT Design Principals and adherence to Global Functional template(s).

Moreover, you will act in a governance role to run projects both Strategic and Tactical thus provide the required oversight to safeguard and ensure a reliable, repeatable and quality delivery to the CPG Sales Business in general, with a specific focus on Trade Promotion Management operations.

You will report directly to the Global Technology CoE Manager CPG Sales.

Responsibilities: 

  • Consulting with and Co-select with the business, IT tooling that is fit-for-purpose and also conforms to the shared IT technical and Functional standards.
  • Providing oversight & approval on the software development lifecycle: build, deployment and maintenance, incl. support on complex issues.
  • Providing oversight and Governance for the delivery of all strategic & tactical initiatives; design, template custodianship, change management and user adoption. incl. project management or agile leadership if necessary.

For this role as a Global Technology Manager Trade Promotion Management we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

Must have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience in similar roles at multinational companies.
  • Business Proficiency in English
  • Over 7 years of IT and Business/Industry work
  • Deep Sales Force Automation and TPM solutions expertise including implementation, support & integration with SAP.
  • Hands-on E2E experience with Sales Support IT solutions (including managing costs & budgets)
  • A solid understanding of CPG Sales business processes and underlying technology.
  • Proven to be able to perform stakeholder management and has ability good analytical and conceptual skills
  • Ability to operate and deliver proficiently in a multi-cultural international environment
  • Project management experience

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of IT applications within the CRM & Salesforce automation ecosystem such as Digital Shelf Recognition, Distribution Management, Route Planning optimisation etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Professional (Out of home) sales business patterns
  • Knowledge of Non-SAP Applications (NSA) related to CRM, RGM and Sales Data & Analytics
  • Industry experience with a global FMCG company (especially single category)
