Job Description

JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS represents some of the most iconic and strong coffee brands. We are the champions of coffee democracy and believe coffee should be available to everyone. Consumers are increasingly shopping online and it’s our responsibility to serve the cup the consumer is looking for in the best and most convenient way in every country in every online channel. As part of the JDE eCommerce Team, you will join a team with the mandate to make our vision a reality and contribute to the rapid growth of JDEs e-commerce business.

The JDE Global eCommerce Team is a young and experienced team of digital & eCommerce experts. We are responsible for developing the global eCommerce activities and online experience for JDE and work in close alignment with local markets and other global departments. Working with us means you’ll be making an impact in a fast-paced, collaborative and international environment. We work in a full agile setup, celebrating success and supporting one another.

Responsibilities

In your role as e-commerce business intelligence intern you will be working together with the CoE business intelligence manager to deliver superior and actionable insights to the global and local teams and drive data-driven culture across the organization.

You will be working on two main areas:

  1. analytical projects and performance reporting from a global standpoint (e.g. dashboard creation & updates; data analysis)
  2. trends & consumer insights projects (e.g. research/ exploration projects around dedicated topics)  

Both crucially important to the business. You’ll have the possibility to turn data points into useful recommendations for various stakeholders. Along the way you’ll learn about data analytics, research and value behind insights in a rapid way and understand the world of e-commerce and coffee fast in a dedicated and energetic team.

You’ll be part of the Center of Excellence (CoE) Team that works closely with both local and global teams to build e-commerce capabilities across 3 e-commerce channels: grocery online, pure players (especially Amazon) and marketplaces.

To be successful in this internship:

  • you are currently enrolled in university, following a Master’s degree in Marketing/ Management/ Business Administration or similar fields
  • you are familiar with Excel and not afraid of numbers
  • you are fluent in English
  • you are highly motivated, self-starting, proactive and a good communicator
  • you are prepared to work in a fast-paced and international dynamic environment, eager to learn and have a hands-on mentality.

Additional Information

Your application at JDE

The monthly internship allowance is € 500,- for a WO student and € 450,- for a HBO student  , based on a fulltime 40 hour workweek. The length of the assignment is 6 months with a starting date in mid-August 2022.

Please note that if you are a non-EU citizen you need to be enrolled at a Dutch University to be considered as a candidate.
