Job Description

As the AI Demand Forecasting intern you will work with the local and central supply chain, sales and IT teams. You will report to the Global IBP Manager. The objective of this internship is to support the pilot for demand forecasting using advances statistics/Artificial Intelligence to create a demand sales forecast. You will be involved in project support on the implementation of SaaS (Software as a Service) demand forecast tool. Other than that you will be focusing on change management of implementation AI forecast technology; people and process impact of moving for ‘judgement based’ to AI forecasting (Short term and Mid-term demand sensing).

Responsibilities:

  • Data preparation & cleaning
  • Setting up a predictive analytics model for demand forecasting using SaaS forecast solution
  • Measuring Forecast accuracy, Forecast Value add & efficiency improvement
  • Supporting testing, training and change management

To be successful in this internship we are looking for someone who:

  • Is currently enrolled at a University in the Netherlands, following a master’s degree in Mathematics, Operations, Econometrics and/or Supply Chain
  • Has outstanding results/grades in study
  • Is eager to learn and have a hands-on mentality
  • Has an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to succeed

Additional Information

Your application at JDE
The length of the internship is between 5-6 months depending on your availability with a starting date as of September 2022.

The monthly internship allowance € 500,- for WO students and € 450,- for HBO students , based on a fulltime 40 hour workweek. We also provide additional support if daily travelling to work is required. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
