Job Description

The JDE Supply Chain manages the total network of goods movement from JDE Manufacturing plants and/or Reg to the Retailers/Distributors. The functional scope of the Supply Chain organization, led by the Regional Supply Chain Manager, includes: Customer Service, Demand Planning, Warehouse & Distribution, Initiative Management and Central Supply Chain Planning.

Regional Supply Chain sets the strategic direction, defines standard operating systems, ensures template compliance and centrally manages inventory, demand & supply planning and warehouse & distribution whereby the local supply chain organizations are executing.

The Supply Chain Initiative Lead plans, directs and reviews all supply and logistics activities to ensure a cost-effective flow of finished goods from suppliers to customers for all category. This role reports to the Regional Supply Chain Initiative Manager and acts as a partner for R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales units to ensure on time and in full launch to markets of any product change, and with procurement on supplier optimization projects for relevant supply chain activities.

Responsibilities:

  • leads the supply chain design and on-time delivery for new products and initiatives within a category, including footprint projects, delivering supply chain and logistics KPI’s on target around and after launch. Additionally the Supply Chain Initiative Lead is responsible to lead a variety of manufacturing / sourcing change projects.
  • drives KPI improvement on cost, service and initiative delivery through leading and supporting improvement projects and standardization, for instance Phase in Phase Out process roll-out and coaching, setting up CoMan playbooks; as well as driving cost savings on obsoletes for their categories.
  • central point of contact on behalf of Operations, working on multifunctional project teams with Initiative Delivery Managers, Product/Pack R&D, Central Marketing, Manufacturing, Procurement and other central functions.
  • within the project teams, he/she represents the functions and deliverables for supply planning, demand planning and logistics. Regularly takes the role of Operations workstream lead and represents manufacturing as well.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in FMCG, as Manager in Manufacturing or Supply Chain environment;
  • Bachelor's Degree, with ideally a specialization in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering or Economics
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven track record in building business cases (e.g. analyzing costs/volumes/stock levels/capacity) and defining multiple scenarios
  • Excellent communication skills, up to executive level;
  • Profound experience in project management;
  • Profound experience in stakeholder management.
