Job Description

As HR Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for the end to end payroll processing. Accurate and timely upkeeping of associates data and payment records. Assist HR Manager with expat administration and HR related reporting. You will also need to participate in annual HR related activities and from time to time, HR related projects as well.

You will play an important role, such as:

  • End-to-end payroll management including tax clearance and tax filing. Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of payroll and statutory reporting and payments;
  • Ensure all payroll functions are in compliance with legislation(Employment Act, EPF, etc);
  • Upkeep and ensure data accuracies of associates information in the HR payroll system;
  • Managing various aspects of HR Operations including associate’s documentation, letters generation;
  • Assist HR manager with Expat administration including work pass management, payments and tax-related activities;
  • Participate in government surveys and mercer survey;
  • Participate in annual HR activities including merit increment exercise, bonus payout and targets setting and any other ad-hoc HR initiatives and projects;

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, it is required of you to have:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Equivalent;
  • A minimum of 3-5 continuous year of experience in payroll;
  • Experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment is desirable;
  • At least 3 years working experience and good in Malaysia Immigration regulatory practices and requirements;
  • Experience and well versed in liaison with local legislation institutions and authority (JTK, SOCSO, EPF) in relation to HR legislation and regulatory practices and requirements;
  • Experience of working in SAP/SuccessFactors or any other global ERP system;
  • Good in communication skill, independent and problem-solving, proactive and competent in general administration, documentation and record controls;
  • Experience in the full spectrum of foreign workers’ employment matter i.e. quota applications, renewal of work permit, liaison with FMEMA / Immigration/ Labour Departments;
  • Excellent command of English language and communication skills (both verbal and written);
  • Ability to challenge status quo and come up with new solutions and ways of working;
