The role of the Treasury & Taxation Specialist is assisting the Treasury Taxation Lead in handling all matters relates to Direct Tax, treasury & insurance activities of the FEC. This includes preparation of tax filing and local statutory reporting, business and legal requirements.

1. Assisting the Tax Treasury Leads in supporting the opcos in Malaysia, on matters relating to corporate tax, Grant/Incentives, treasury, financing, cash-flow, banking, transfer pricing & insurance etc.
2. Coordinate with external service providers (ie. Tax consultants, company secretary, banking/finance institution & insurance underwriters etc.) on the relevant activities.
3. Assisting to ensure timely and adequate tax reporting, assuring a proper tax calculation and reporting to the relevant authorities, in compliance with the local tax regulations.
4. Assisting in the strategic development of the taxation & treasury department related to Corporate and local requirements
5. Assisting on ad hoc tax treasury projects (eg. coordination on tax incentives, cash pooling, SC financing related matters etc.)
6. Liaise with external service providers for insurance and coordinating on claims.
7. Liaise & coordinate with IHQ on taxation, transfer pricing, grants/incentives, treasury & insurance topics, on global policies & guidelines for local implementations.

For this role as a Treasury & Taxation Specialist, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent;
• At least 3 years work experience; preferably tax experience with the big 4 audit firm;
• Accurate, flexible thinking, time management skills, high analytical skills, fluent English in word and writing;
• Team player, hands-on, proactive, good communication skills, independent/self-starter, eager to learn and further develop, act with a sense of urgency;
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills;
