As part of our Research, Development and Operations (RD&O) organization, the JDE R&D function is on a journey to transition into a world-class organization delivering innovation and excellence for all JDE business ambitions. In this job opportunity, you will be part of the Research and Development Center, reporting to the R&D Category Manager Single-Serve Capsules. 

The tasks and responsibilities in this role: 

• Lead the delivery of new product & processing designs to the JDE Coffee &Tea Categories
• Contribute to the realisation of the business value creation plan by technical innovation and capability development. 
• Scope R&D projects by assessing R&D program proposals and provides advice to the Category Manager & Category Director. 
• Execute R&D projects by leading the program value creation and delivery, monitoring progress and being responsible and accountable for successful delivery and cost management through the full life cycle of the project. 
• Operate closely together with the SiSe equipment development team to ensure successful delivery of both product and appliance projects for L’Or Barista
• Propose the technical product architecture of the product design (PLM Specifications) Offers and identifies opportunities to innovate and optimize processing capabilities and performance.
• Lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of new product designs and innovations whether for existing portfolio, line extensions or white space opportunities.
• Driving day to day performance and programmes within the network. 
• Communicate and support best practice into local applications for category applications. 
• Ensure smooth communication and collaboration with external partners.

The preferred qualifications and skills for this role: 

• Over 8 years of experience with product development & innovation or process technologies in the food industry (R&D and Operations).
• Experience with interaction and influencing at a senior management level.
• Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, food safety, product/process design and commercialization.
• Broad technical knowledge of food categories processes, technologies, ingredients and formulae; 
• Broad business knowledge and integration of  Manufacturing, Research and Business strategies ;
• Expert in internal stakeholder management & building meaningful relationships within the company and beyond
• Sound understanding of HACCP food safety, legal, environmental and regulatory parameters;
