Job Description

We are looking for a Central Material Planner who will be responsible for short to long term planning of packaging materials. Your goal is to ensure the availability of packaging materials for our European manufacturing units so we can deliver to our retail and out-of-home customers on time and in full. The role requires you to build and maintain a solid relationship with our suppliers. You will work closely with various stakeholders and functions, including Manufacturing, Demand Planning, Central Planning and Procurement.

In this role, you will analyse future demand trends, determine the right inventory level and secure supplier capacity in the network by setting up regular reviews with our suppliers and manufacturing units.  You will drive the standardisation of the Material Planning function and deploy these standards to the different planning teams in our manufacturing units to improve quality, productivity and service level.

Standards and Processes
Improve efficiency and results by developing and implementing global standards for the material planning function. Drive collaboration within the material planning community

Performance Management
Regular reviews with key suppliers to monitor KPIs, demand and production plan. Secure materials supply to the factories. Install end-to-end collaboration with the suppliers

Capacity Planning
Monitor supplier long term capacity in weekly / monthly reviews. Use scenario planning to give insights to the suppliers on the long term demand trends. Define a clear strategy on Safety Stocks

Supplier Agreements
Perform Supply Chain Audits of key suppliers and agree Service Level Agreements (SLA) together with Procurement and Logistics Managers of the factories

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you preferably have a Master’s degree and are looking for your second career step (about 3-5 years of experience in Integrated Supply Chain) within a leading FMCG business. Ideally you have worked with SAP and APO, though this is not essential. We are looking for someone who is analytically strong, who is eager to learn and someone who takes accountability for their results.

We are also looking for someone who can work independently, someone who has an easy understanding of data and can manage the complex landscape of suppliers and categories.

Last but not least, we look for someone with good communication skills at different levels in the organisation.
