Job Description

As part of our Research, Development and Operations (RD&O) organization, the JDE Engineering function is on a journey to transition into a world-class organization delivering innovation and excellence for all JDE business ambitions. In this job opportunity, you will be part of the Global Engineering team reporting to the Global Director Engineering Capital Projects.

The tasks and responsibilities in this role:

  • Delivering technical support to all JDE plants in the field of Roast & Ground (R&G) coffee production
  • Advising on technical details of plans for the R&G equipment related to investment projects for all JDE Plants
  • Troubleshooting R&G equipment
  • Evaluation and increasing safety levels of all roasters in JDE
  • Drafting up and maintaining technical standards for R&G equipment and roaster safety
  • Participating in various projects as the technology expert

  • Minimum of a Bsc in Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A solid and proven background in the coffee industry
  • Excellent understanding of the relation between process and equipment
  • Knowledge of available R&G related techniques and equipment
  • Have a brought technical interest in production processes and mechanical engineering
  • Have continuous attention for safety aspects of Process and equipment
  • Have a drive to reduce the environmental impact of our operations
  • Analytical mindset
