We want to welcome you into the Professional Global Business Development (GBD) team. We are an agile team dedicated to introducing new customers and consumers around the world to our great brands and range of coffees and teas via our Partner network (business-to-business). Our objective is to grow current markets as well as strategically enter new growth markets. The medium term goal for most these markets is to develop the business to a scale which warrants setting up a JDE presence there in the future. Our International Key Account team is also part of the GBD department.

Tasks and responsibilities

During your internship, you will be assisting in the execution of the Growth Drivers and Marketing strategy towards Partners in a range of markets globally, from Europe, to Africa, Middle East and Asia. You will do this in line with the centrally defined marketing, sales and brand strategies, activities and guidelines. At times, you will also get a chance to work together with agencies.

You will be involved in Market Research, portfolio management and Cross Sell for the partners as well as for the International Key Accounts, including hands-on operational activities like sending samples and arranging new product listings. For market research / desk research it is about identifying white spaces and size of the prize in different markets as well as for new value propositions

You will be truly part of the GBD team and you will work together with the Global Business Development Specialists of all GBD countries, the Partner Marketing Specialists and the International Key Account managers.

We are open to discuss the possibility to use one of the projects as the topic for your graduation thesis.

To be successful in this role you need to:

• be in the final phase of your Master’s education  
• be very confident in English 
• have excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen
• have an education background in either marketing, data analysis, Communication / Business Economics/Management, affinity with digital marketing (in specific SEO) is a pre
• be a pro-active self-starter with good communication skills and an entrepreneurial spirit
• have Microsoft skills and expertise (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• be committed, outgoing, have strong interpersonal skills, work disciplined and independently and enjoy working in teams.

For this internship at JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS a standard compensation applies. This internship is for a 6-month period and starts in May 2021. It is a full time internship but 4 days can be discussed. Only students still registered at college (HBO)/university (WO) during the whole internship period will be considered. An online assessment is part of the selection process.
