Job Description

The Master Data Specialist executes and supports activities with respect to Master Data product/customer/pricing in a way that is compliant and consistent with policies and standards. In this role, you will provide full support to sales operations by monitoring and analysing master data, key data and master relationship with the organisation.

You will play an important role, such as:

  • The Master Data Specialist manages the processes, governance, policies, standards, and tools that consistently define and manage critical data of the company, in order to provide a single point of reference.
  • Contributes to developing and implementing data management strategy and processes for all local business data required. Aim is to efficiently execute local company operations.
  • Manage Info flow in relation with Sales and Customers; perform regular business-related activities e.g. price and contracts updates, approval schemes
  • Supports in implementing Master Data required systems on a local level (i.e. SAP, service systems, etc.) and is acting as a link with the central master data team.
  • Ensures data accuracy by:
    • Identifying data requirements for current and future state local business processes.
    • Detecting data gaps, identifying functional data owners and driving them to develop data cleansing plans based on data gaps.
  • Ensure system-related and structural issues are solved effectively by: 
    • Continuous improvement of the system through implementing improvement projects and initiatives across multiple functional areas
    • Follow-up and testing of Change Requests
    • Communicating effectively root – cause and solution of master data issues to all involved departments to ensure the issue won’t reappear.
    • Active involvement in day-to-day review and resolution of issues.
    • Assisting business process experts in defining standard operating procedures, process flows and related documentation

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, it is required of you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree along with functional years of expertise gained within an operational or IT environment (ideally Service logistics or FMCG);
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with SAP, preferably in a master data role;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills;
  • Develops and implements models to translate business requirements into feasible and acceptable data warehouse designs;
  • Process-oriented, analytically minded and methodical problem solver;
  • Very good interpersonal skills with excellent customer service and “can do“ mentality;
  • Able to efficiently prioritize work and timely inform stakeholders on the progress;
  • Experience working within an MNC environment is a plus;
