Job Description

As an Intern Supply Chain Coordinator you will be part of the Customer Service Retail and trade team as well as the Customer Service Export team, within the supply chain department. You will be working in a dynamic international environment. The team is serving retail and professional customers in the Netherlands as well as distributors worldwide (~50 countries).


The Customer Service teams are responsible for the total order-to-cash process. These teams are an important link between our internal JDE organization, customers and our international distributors. In the role of Intern Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be main point of contact for a selected group of customers in the Netherlands and international distributors regarding operational matters. For example order placement, logistical planning, export documentation, invoicing and complaints. Next to that, you are also expected to work on route cause analyses, to work on continues improvement of our processes and further automate the order to cash flow.

You interact independently with internal and external stakeholders, to represent the interests of the customer. This means it is a dynamic role, with a high degree of autonomy with regard to classifying and prioritizing your work. A proactive attitude and good communication skills are required.
Your key tasks:

  • Order management;
  • Identify and apply the best solutions for our customers and distributors, based on best practices in customer service and logistics;
  • Intensive cooperation with logistics service providers  
  • Continuously working on improvement of our service level;
  • Preparation of weekly & monthly reports;
  • Proactive looking at optimization of current Supply Chain flows

Qualifications

You need be enrolled at a Dutch University (Bachelor’s or Master’s studies) for the whole duration of the internship. To be successful in this role you describe yourself as a team player, who is strongly interested in Supply Chain topics and wants to develop key internal & external stakeholder management skills.

You are:

  • Fluent in Dutch & English (requirement);
  • highly motivated, an excellent communicator, inquisitive and analytical
  • prepared to work in a fast-paced, dynamic international environment.

Additional Information

The internship starts in December or beginning of January and is for a period of 6 months. Exact starting date and hours can be discussed, preferably not an graduate thesis Internship.

We expect you to be available for ideally 5 days a week ( 4 days can be discussed).

You will report into the Customer Service Manager.
