Job Description

The role as Logistics Team lead is responsible to support customer service and delivery activities by coordinating and directing teams tasked with shipping, receiving, and storage of goods. You need to focus on order fulfilment and supply chain coordination, as well as personnel management. The Logistics Team Lead ensures the execution of local logistic services such as local warehousing and distribution, pallet management and relationship with the different LSPs, suppliers and customs clearance process.

You will play an important role, such as:

  • Execution of effective local logistic services;
  • Ensure & execute compliance with regulatory requirements such as Import / Export, custom clearance and etc. You will be accountable for the execution of effective local logistic services as well as ensure & execute compliance to regulatory requirements such as Import / Export, custom clearance and etc.
  • Driving tangible improvements in warehouse & distribution resulting in lower costs and better service, and work towards a more customer-driven supply chain;
  • Identifying opportunities in the end-to-end supply chain to reduce waste, minimize cost and work towards a more customer-driven supply chain.
  • Provides input to AOP budget (Warehousing & Distribution cost) for each LoB and delivers against it by:
    • Monthly cost control (variances Actual vs AOP).
    • LE based on rolling forecast volumes, accruals and invoices each month.
  • Executes the local operational plan for warehousing to achieve optimal W&D costs and service level by:
  • monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the storage of goods (eg. general stock control, physical inventory, etc.)
  • organizing and managing all FG warehouses (rented and own) for in the respective country
  • coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems
  • Executes local operational plan for distribution to achieve optimal W&D costs and service level by:
    • Monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement of goods (eg. optimal (un)loading conditions, ensure FEFO principle, etc).

  • Monitors international transportation for the local cluster to ensure efficient transportation and competitive logistics costs. This by monitoring the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of this process.
  • Liaises with customers and suppliers in order to optimize customer satisfaction and to maximize efficiency (R2S/ C2S).
  • Analyses in-depth data to monitor performance, cost development and plan process improvements and productivity with LSP’s and/ or customers (Service Based Pricing approach).
  • Ensures accuracy of transactional data (stock) and assures local legal requirements with LSP are met.
  • Delivers to internal and external customers according to the demand plan (quality/time/cost).
  • Implements central & external best practices (Pooling, Transport optimization, etc.).

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we will need you to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistic/Transportation or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in Supply chain/logistics experience in FMCG or equivalent
  • Good command of SAP / MS office / Business intelligence tools
  • Good knowledge of Asian logistics network
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and results approach
  • Successful experience in benchmarking local organization
  • Previous LSP or 4PLs management
