Job Description

The Electrical Technician is responsible to maintain adequately all plant types of equipment, performing the preventive maintenance program and addressing all plant equipment problems effectively and efficiently with necessary corrective actions to minimize the loss in production time and capacity. You will also be responsible to assist and support the engineer on a project basis for the plant. This position reports to the Electrical Engineer on a day to day basis. This role requires someone who has high technical acumen, resourceful, decisive, quick thinking in problem-solving and works independently.

  • To assist maintenance Engineer / Technician to the safety of electrical power utility implant.
  • To make sure MSB1 and MSB2 are always clean, and escort Electrical Consultant during a monthly inspection.
  • To record daily electrical usage into the log sheet and report to Head of Department (HOD) if any abnormal logging arises.
  • To repair and maintain machinery electrical components such as motor and control panel.
  • Handling routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, corrective maintenance and installation of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Take charge as part of an integrated maintenance team and undertake maintenance in order to minimize production disruptions.
  • To complete an electrical project assign by the superior.
  • To obey company rules and regulation.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, it is required of you to have:

  • Possess at least a Diploma/SKM in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Handling routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, corrective maintenance, and installation of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Take charge as part of an integrated maintenance team and undertake maintenance in order to minimize production disruptions.
  • Possess knowledge of HACCP and FSSC 22000 will be an added advantage. 
  • Shift work applies.
