The Senior Accountant (Control & Tax) supports the business in managing the control environment within our NZ operation.  As the local business coordinator of the Global GRC framework, you will proactively work cross functionally to ensure key risks are identified and mitigated as well as ensuring internal control testing is completed in an accurate and timely manner.  You will form part of the NZ Finance Leadership team and will be the advocate for the control culture within the business.

• GRC Framework management and compliance for NZ Business 
• Reporting Compliance (financial accounting reporting) 
• Maintain segregation of duties (including system access) 
• Other financial regulatory matters
• Willingness to assist with Financial Accounting as and when needed

For this role as our new Senior Accountant (Control & Tax), we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

• Degree qualification in Accounting or Commerce
• CPA/CA or similar is desirable
• Substantial Accounting/Audit experience to enable you to work independently
• Willingness to dive in and understand all components of our business 
• Previous audit experience within a CA firm would be preferable
• Experience within a global multinational would be advantageous but not essential
• Strong understand business processes within an operating environment
• Experience working with non-finance business partners
• High level of PC literacy particularly in Finance systems, e.g. SAP, SharePoint & Microsoft Excel
• Highly developed organisational & time-management skills
• Deadline-driven with a high level of attention to detail
