Job Description

We are on the lookout for an Global E-commerce Business Controller to strengthen our E-commerce team. The global JDE E-commerce team is a young team of digital experts. We are responsible for developing the global e-commerce activities and online experience for JDE and work in close collaboration with local marketing & sales units and global departments. You will work within the Finance Department and report to the Finance & Business Intelligence Manager Global E-commerce in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.

The goal of the role is to support the global e-commerce team in setting and achieving its ambitious top line growth plans while at the same time improving its bottom line performance. As a business partner to the commercial teams you will drive continuous improvement of the financial performance online. In addition, this role is responsible for the financial planning, reporting and analysis of the global e-commerce business.

Within this role you are Global E-commerce Controller you are responsible for the following activities:

  • Commercial Controlling, in this role you will be supporting and where needed challenging the business teams to drive both top line and bottom line growth of central online sales activities.
  • Cost Controlling, you are able to set up an effective cost control and continuously driving cost efficiencies with an ROI mindset
  • Financial Reporting & Controlling, including execution of the month end closing procedure and periodic management reporting & analysis
  • Financial Planning & Analysis European Direct to Consumer (DTC) business;
    • Support/coordinate the annual operating plan and forecasts across markets
    • Prepare periodic and ad hoc management reporting & analysis
    • Support and challenge DTC business cases with an ROI mindset
    • Drive the financial performance our DTC business together with the business owners
  • Financial Planning & Analysis Global online sales, delivering high quality annual operations plans and forecasts. Based on analysis of our global online sales performance. You will also support annual operating plan and forecasts of our global online sales business

 For this role as a Global E-commerce Business Controller we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a comparable role. Experience in E-commerce is a strong plus.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail. Detail can be discussed all the way to the top when it comes to costs.
  • An ability to work at pace and make quick decisions is really important.
  • An ability to deal with an ambiguous environment is critical.
  • Teamwork and empowering others is at the essence - lone wolves will not get as far.
  • Action-oriented and hands on in nature.
  • Strong ability to work cross functionally and international environment and understand the implications of e-commerce decisions
