Job Description

The Asia Principal CBM compliance manager is accountable for monitoring the Asia Principal governance of the combined business model, including giving CBM trainings and raising CBM awareness in the Asia region. In addition to the compliance role the Asia Principal CBM Compliance manager will  monitor transfer price setting and liaise with the global tax team on any related tax matters. 

The Asia Principal CBM compliance manager reports to Global Finance Principal Manager and is accountable for monitoring the Asia Principal governance of the combined business model, including giving CBM trainings and raising CBM awareness in the Asia region. In addition to the compliance role the Asia Principal CBM Compliance manager will  monitor transfer price setting and liaise with the global tax team on any related tax matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Is responsible for monitoring regional CBM compliance, giving CBM trainings and raising CBM awareness in the region.
  • Leads the CBM self-assessment process in Asia in cooperation with the CBM Control manager based in NL.
  • Monitors Transfer Price setting within the Asia region. 
  • Provides technical support, advice and assistance to subsidiaries from a CBM and transfer pricing perspective, which includes amongst others to review contracts from a CBM and tax perspective and assist in drafting contracts that are in line with structuring decisions, provide support in developing, documenting and executing Transfer Pricing policies, assist in the monitoring of foreign entities' profitability, support tax audits and questions from tax authorities, as required.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Tax and or Business Economics/Finance

Additional Information

Must have:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience, preferably in a similar position in-house.
  • Experience with centralized business models / Operating Model Effectiveness Value Chain Transformations.
  • Strong communication skills at different levels, including Executive Committee level.
  •  Communicate with impact (open, honest and with respect).
