Job Description

MEA (Middle East & Africa) consists of 10+ countries and represents a mix of the on-the-ground operations in 3 countries (Morocco, Turkey, South Africa) as well as existing and future export markets, representing the biggest growth opportunity for the company globally. As the HR Director MEA you will be accountable for managing the internal HR function within MEA region (~ 1200 associates in 6 countries, sales & marketing units as well as manufacturing units). The role is responsible to address and execute on various HR and people aspects as compensation and benefits, talent and performance management, local labour regulations and associate engagement. Key element of HRD MEA is to act as a business partner to MEA Leadership Team, advising and challenging them on HR matters.

HRD MEA will be reporting to General Manager MEA and dotted line to HR Director LARMEA region (Latin America, Russia, Ukraine&EECA, and MEA), leading and developing the team of ~10 associates (4 direct reports).

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Keep best in class execution of key org processes (performance management, talent review, etc)
  • Support GM MEA in implementation of integration process
  • Provide business partnering and coaching in driving teams’ engagement, talent development, performance management organisational structures and resourcing strategies
  • Keep focus on employer branding and ensure attraction of the best talents to MEA organisation within JDE and from the market
  • Own people related cost in SG&A management process
  • Lead implementation of various local and/or functional change projects and ensure they are appropriately resourced, structured and governed

 

Location is Istanbul.

For this role as a HR Director MEA, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Profound HR leader with proven track record of delivering results (minimum 10 years of relevant HR experience in leading FMCG companies within MEA markets)
  • Experience in leading integration projects
  • Strong ability to set strategic goals, linked with business objectives
  • Ability to translate plans into action, to manage projects in the most efficient way, to challenge the existing and to drive the change when necessary
  • Leadership: self-confidence, professional credibility, ability to build relationships at every level of the hierarchy and outside the company, articulate communication, team player
  • Fluency in English and Turkish
