Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Procurement Manager Media & Ad Technology to further build a world class strategic sourcing function. This is a unique opportunity for an open minded, creative and entrepreneurial professional who is energized by creating top line value. Next to that is capable of building and managing a strong supplier base, driving best results in close collaboration with Marketing and Market teams. The pace of change is high, the expectation for results is high.

Procurement Manager Media is a senior role in the JDE Global Procurement team reporting to the Global Procurement Director Media, Marketing, HR & Professional Services and is accountable to deliver results in the category he/she is responsible for. As well to develop and implement category sourcing strategies that deliver best in class results. The role is very closely connected to global Marketing and JDE markets. Providing guidance and insight into JDE’s media implementation and investment plans. As our Central Marketing department is based at our Amsterdam HQ, you will be working from that office 2-3 days per week. Travelling abroad will be part of this role as well when needed for meetings and visits to other sites. 

Within this role you will have the following, but not limited to, Goals and Key accountabilities: 

  • Creates and leads implementation of category sourcing strategy that deliver tangible results.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders 
  • Proactively manages global supplier relationships to deliver cost, quality & cash results and to drive continuously improvement. 
  • Measure and benchmark performance to ensure that JDE has the most competitive cost base in your category.
  • Supports senior management in Marketing and Business with relevant intel and input to build annual operation plans and to implement media as per marketing governance and strategies.
  • Develops digital media KPI’s together with Marketing and digital functions and implements TCO approach on digital. Bring full transparency and drive the development of accountability, value delivery and waste reduction measurement and reporting in digital media.
  • Drive innovation programs in your category to continually search for cost saving opportunities, new technologies, new services and new suppliers that contribute to the overall strategy of the business. 
  • Supports JDE E-com business in selection, contracting and management of a diverse portfolio of tech, data and marketing services suppliers, including small businesses and start-up’s.
  • Establishes and analyses performance metrics in order to evaluate (supplier) performance.
  • Manages central/international and if relevant local pitches and tenders, negotiates & contracts and implementation. 
  • Manages, evaluates and improves key supplier performance to deliver (non-) financial benefits. Leads performance evaluations and periodical business reviews with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Keeps oversight over set of contracts within category and ensures contract compliance considering payments terms, prices, discounts & rebates and performance in close collaboration with business.
  • Manages transitions to key suppliers risk. 
  • Risk management.
  • Has a deep understanding of and ensures compliance to internal policies & procedures

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  •  At least 8 years of relevant experience in Media. With relevant background experience in Media agency side, consultant and/or Media Procurement
  • An excellent track record of delivering “best in class cost and cash results”
  • Successful experience of working with cross functional teams ‘speaks the language of Marketing’
  • International experience in global companies 
  • Excellent communication, networking and influencing skills.
  • The ability to thrive with ambiguity, change
