Job Description

The Internal Control & Compliance (Tax &Treasury) Manager is accountable for the internal financial risk management and the coordination of the internal audit process. He/She is also responsible for compliance with tax rules and treasury policies.

The finance function supports the company’s strategy and business activities as a business partner working closely with business leaders and functional leaders to drive improved performance, yet facilitating transparency of financial performance across the organization. Aims to ensure business decisions are grounded in sound financial analysis and endure processes that drive robust financial challenge and accountability. Moreover the finance function provides analysis and insight for management to prioritize the allocation of resources to areas where value can be created, supporting strategic and commercial operations which add value. In its role as business partner, the finance function ensures the company keeps continuous focus on compliance, control and risk management to manage the company’s (financial) risks and meet the requirements of governmental and other regulatory bodies, as well as the internal guidelines (e.g. the Combined Business Model). 

Is accountable for the internal financial risk management and the coordination of the internal control process. He/She is also responsible for compliance with tax rules and treasury policies.

The Internal Control & Compliance (Tax & Treasury) Manager directly reports to the Finance Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessment, involving risk analysis and identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business.
  • Lead and coordinate the internal control program by applying the business process understanding to the internal control team in order to ensure overall quality.
  • Monitor compliance with Global internal control standards.
  • Monitor compliance with direct and indirect tax rules and regulations.
  • Monitor compliance with Global treasury policies.
  • Liaise with banks on treasury topics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in finance/accounting.

Nice to have:

  • More than 5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting/Taxation.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Managerial experience.
  • Preferably FMCG background.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, SAP.
