In the role you are the driver of all SHE related tasks and projects at the Manufacturing site meaning that you drive a zero-incident environment ensuring all plant associates are committed to the overall Safety, Health and Environmental culture. The role actively leads improvement of Safety and Environmental results to deliver manufacturing excellence and ensures full compliance with Global SHE standards and local legislation. 

You are placed at the site in Gävle, reporting directly to our Nordic Plant Manager and you will be an important part of the Factory leadership team.

Job Description

As lead of Safety, Health & Environment you will drive and contribute to a culture of engagement and develop capabilities through training and coaching within the field to make sure responsibilities are distributed correctly.

You will ensure compliance to SHE requirements, legislation, regulations and corporate standards & policies. This by coordinating, reviewing, implementing and driving all Safety, Health and Environmental topics, tasks and KPI to ensure improvements and solutions.

In addition, you will define our local safety policy and procedures based on legal regulations and corporate standards, e.g. guarantee effective safety organization, emergency response plus first aid activities and ensure action plan closure from root cause analysis which eliminate risks, asset losses, and environmental issues.

An important part of the role is to lead and coach Managers in execution of risk inventories  & evaluations, risk assessments and incident investigations and ensures action closure. Finally, you will continuously identify risks in ergonomics- and working conditions and proposes solutions to make sure we always are on top with SHE.

Your profile:

To succeed you need to be proactive, solutions orientated, fast moving and possess extensive communicational abilities. You lead by example contributing with goal orientation and ability to drive the importance of the questions cross functionally.

We are convinced of the principle “hire for attitude and train for skill” however we hope that you fulfill following requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent within Engineering, Environment or Safety

  • Minimum of 3-years of experience within the field of expertise

  • Project Management education or similar
