Job Description

Bring your analytical skills, eagerness to learn and provide real contributions to a fast growing business. Full time permanent role. 

Join us during this exciting time of change in our NZ business as we elevate to the next level.  As part of a global organisation, we need to ensure we have robust cost accounting practices and the ability to efficiently analyse and report product costs. 

In the role you will:

  • Have an opportunity to significantly contribute to the growth and improvement of our New Zealand business as the key Finance resource for our Auckland and our Christchurch sites, managing all plant costs including fixed and variable overheads
  • Prepare periodic costing and production reports
  • Provide specific reporting, comparing factors which affect price and profitability while providing recommendations
  • Assist with target costing projects, making estimates of new and proposed costs through various stages of new product development
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts, including management reporting and variance analysis, working with key stakeholders in manufacturing, the local selling and marketing organisation and overseas
  • Analyse any changes which impact on cost and margin
  • Provide financial support to the group operations segment
  • Prepare CAPEX budgets and monitoring of actual expenditure versus budgets and post-implementation reviews

For this role as our new Commercial Analyst (officially known internally as FP&A), we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Strong Cost Management experience, predominately within a SAP Manufacturing environment (including variance analysis and reporting)
  • Broad experience in business partnering
  • Proactive approach with strong follow through 
  • Problem solving skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and insights
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at many levels 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance or related discipline
