Job Description

The Nordic Finance Excellence Center, based in Copenhagen, is responsible for a diverse line of businesses (Retail, Professional and Manufacturing, across nine reporting entities and five legal entities in three Countries), each with specific statutory accounting and reporting requirements. The FEC team acts and behaves as the financial conscience of the Nordics management teams.

To ensure continuous improvement within the FEC team, there is a high degree of responsibility rotation across the team, and the continuous business development also affects the Accounting Analysts assignments. Travel days to our offices and finance departments in the Nordics to perform “on site” work with the Purchase to Pay key users is expected.

The Accounting Analyst acts both as co-pilot (active value creation) and custodian (ensuring optimal and effective processes, and compliance with internal and external regulation). The Accounting Analyst ensures that closing processes are operated flawlessly and efficient by establishing a high degree of reliability (being on time, in full and accurate) and by managing the operating transactional work according to the KPI’s set by JDE Global Finance.

The specific role has the responsibility for overseeing and improving the PtP processes in JDE Nordics and will also project manage indirect (I.e. VAT) and direct (i.e. collecting data to tax authorities) tax topics in co-operation with Group. 

In your role as Accounting Analyst, you will be reporting to the FEC Manager.

Key accountabilities:

  • Nordic Purchase to Pay (“PtP”) business process owner; provide training and procurement guidelines to Nordic organization and maintain Nordic approval matrix (based on global PtP guidelines)
  • Deliver KPI Operating Working Capital on target, herunder, by ensuring timely PO creation and timely goods receipt registration in SAP and overviewing payment terms. Monthly reporting of KPI’s to Nordic Management.
  • Ensure full compliance of PtP internal controls framework and adherence of JDE’s “Combined Business Model”
  • Nordic process improvement projects (bank connectivity, e-invoicing, etc)
  • Ensure VAT compliance across Nordic region and project management on direct corporate taxes (e.g. collection of data for Tax authorities in co-operation with Group)

Qualifications

Must have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in big 4 audit and/or in a multinational group accounting department.
  • SAP
  • Knowledge of Nordic GAAP and IFRS
  • Analytical and structured
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in at least one Scandinavian language
  • Economics University degree 

Nice to have:

  • Prior PtP experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Indirect tax experience
  • FMCG experience
