Job Description
As JDE Professional, we are the B2B division of JDE. By reaching consumers when they are out of home – whether at work, in university, in care, in an airport, or a hotel – we strengthen the core purpose of our company: to bring a coffee for every cup. Today JDE Professional comprises 2900 associates across the world, who are responsible for growing almost Eur1bn of revenues in over 35 markets.
We are proud to say that in 2019 we went live with a first-class suite of new, cutting edge cloud-based business systems for JDE Professional: SalesForce, Apttus, ClickSoft, Marketing Cloud, SAP Hana and EPiserver. These new systems are underpinned by a complete overhaul and global harmonization of all operational business processes. Together these new processes and products will dramatically enhance our customers’ experience of JDE Professional and our ability to drive growth in our Professional markets. Internally these changes will also transform the way we work in Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations: from lead generation, to webshop sales, to automated contract creation, through to dynamic route planning for our field engineers.
As a Global Product Owner you are responsible for the quality and strategic impact of the Global SalesForce platform. Together with your Agile team, local Business and Global Product Owners you work on continuously improving and evolving the platform to maximize the value for the customer.
Partnering with IT and the Sales teams in all markets to define a robust product backlog, managing capability expansion increments, roll-out of products to several markets and leading the team towards definition of new functionalities & best practices are a few examples of the activities that will be expected from this role.
Additionally, you will be cooperating with various internal stakeholders, including markets and other product areas (OTC, Marketing, W&L) to drive customer engagement and satisfaction, as well as incremental revenues out of enabling our Sales teams.
Responsibilities
Lead responsibilities;
- Build and specify the SalesForce product vision and roadmap and communicate with key stakeholders, markets and Scrum team(s) together with GBPO Sales
- Build on a network of local markets, global teams and external agencies
- Be accountable for overall Global Sales Product backlog on improving business outcomes (revenue, cost efficiencies and customer satisfaction) and the build of a scalable and repeatable model
- Be accountable for product delivery in line with the roadmap and committed delivery dates
- Identify and solve dependencies with other Global Product Owners to ensure efficient delivery
- Aggregate, analyse and communicate progress and results
Global Product Owner responsibilities;
- Be the connection between the key stakeholders, markets and Scrum development team to lead the development of the Salesforce Platform in order to support the Sales teams to achieve their targets and deliverables
- Be responsible for and working closely with the external Scrum team (back-end developers, front-end developers, designers/UX, testers) located at JDE office
- Drive business value for all projects by evaluating initiatives and ideas from the markets against business goals and prioritize user stories accordingly
- Backlog management – create, maintain and prioritize the user stories on the Global product backlog, provide acceptance for delivered backlog items by the team, in line with the definition-of-done.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- Degree with focus on Business Administration, Communication or IT related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience working in a B2B Sales environment
- 3+ years working as a Product Owner or product management related role, preferably in an agile working setup, preferably certified Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO I) or SAFe Product Owner Certified
- Experience in working with stakeholders and experts at various organizational levels, global and local
- Experience in creating strong internal business cases to support investment and internal resource requests
- Understanding of IT systems (EPiserver, Google Analytics, SalesForce, Marketing Cloud, Atlassian JIRA, SAP Hana) is preferred
