The Global Buyers Packaging have a vital role in the Packaging Procurement team. The core goals for these roles are managing the gradual transition of the portfolios from European to Global, support the Category Managers in and partly lead a variety of critical negotiations, run innovation projects, and be a role model in the team for strategy creation and implementation.

The aim for the Global Buyers is to develop into Global Category Manager in approx. 2/3 years.

Main challenges in this position:

• Understanding business requirements
• Manage suppliers services to JDE sites (quality, on time, in full deliveries)
• Align optimal portfolio strategy with internal stakeholders
• Develop supplier partnerships to identify and develop ongoing total cost reductions
• Support and lead critical negotiations in either the flexibles or printed packaging portfolio
• Strong support on innovation projects
• Active engagement with global stakeholders
• Help putting sophisticated procurement processes in place
