Job Description

The Global Tax department, with 9 tax specialists, provides tax advice and input to the JDE organization. We are responsible for executing the Group’s tax & ITX policy and ensuring tax efficiency. As a VAT Specialist in our team, your primary responsibility is to advise on and manage all aspects of the Group’s ITX processes by:

  • Assisting with the implementation of a great variety of projects from an ITX perspective
  • Providing support in tax audits and questions from tax authorities
  • Assisting with the implementation of technology to standardize and automate ITX processes

Furthermore, the role entails contributing to the implementation of cross border transactions; preparing and reviewing VAT compliance documents; and ensuring other ITX requirements and filings are fulfilled.

The role reports to the Global Indirect Tax Manager and has no direct reports.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you are highly motivated, outgoing with good communication and interpersonal skills. You are independent, proactive, responsible, dedicated, solution-oriented, hands-on and structured. Verbal and written fluency in English is a must, any additional European language is a plus.

Besides, you have:

  • A WO / University degree in Tax Law, Fiscal Economics or a relevant Financial education, with understanding of accounting
  • 3+ years with relevant ITX experience obtained in an international tax advisory practice
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and numbers
  • Experience in ERP system logic, SAP knowledge preferable.
