Job Description

The Global Procurement team within JDE has a strategic rather than a transactional role, it is our mission to bring value to the company every day. 

 

At the moment we are looking for 2 interns to join our Global Procurement team. In this role within our Global Procurement team, focused on Marketing & Media, HR & Professional services in Utrecht, you will support the team with several activities:

 

  • Support in Global/local pitch and tender processes for e.g. Media and Creative agency, Ad-tech selection or HR temporary labour.
  • Support a project focusing on addressing tail spend and unaddressed spend within the categories 
  • Desk research on industry developments and JDE supplier panel to feed into category strategies Monitor KPIs (key performance indicators) across markets and support in market consolidation, reporting and trend analyses
  • Support to category managers by providing spend analysis in Excel. E.g. analyses on spend/price changes across JDE markets
  • Support on creation of internal management presentations (PowerPoint)
  • Support on tracking and reporting of value and savings delivery across category initiatives
  • Managing internal tools supporting JDE procurement process
  • Operational tasks to support the broader team can be part of the role

Qualifications

Your profile

 

  • Background in Procurement/Logistics
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills is a must (subject to a test)
  • Strong analytical skills (subject to a test) commercial, logistics, supply chain, procurement internships
  • Accurate, flexible, time management skills;
  • Hands-on, proactive, eager to learn and further develop, acts with a sense of urgency.
  • As part of a study program Bachelor’s / Master degree in economics or purchasing, logistics and procurement
  • Fluent English both in spoken as well as writing, (second European language is a plus)

PLEASE NOTE

For this internship at JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS a standard compensation applies. This internship is for a period of 6 months, starting soonest possible. The main working location will be in Utrecht, however regular presence in Headquarters in Amsterdam might be required depending on project needs. 

Only students still registered at college (HBO)/university (WO) during the whole internship period will be considered.
