Job Description

Our Category and Shopper Marketing team is a key link between Sales and Marketing and is responsible for turning insights into growth opportunities for our key customers and categories. 


As our Shopper Activation Specialist, you will support our Shopper Activation Manager with the planning, design & development of national and customer specific activations.  This will involve the creation of specific shopper assets & in-store strategies focused on optimising brand visibility in-store to help drive incremental penetration.  
Driving our leadership position in Hot Beverages you will deliver recommendations for the perfect store, and will complete insights led planograms at store level and with our key customers, actively participating in the category development process. 
You will play a key part in the measurement and deployment of our operational excellence program, developing tools & guidelines to assist the sales team to achieve the KPI’s set in the plan. 
Duties will include: 

  • Shopper Marketing 
  • Understanding key market trends 
  • Work collaboratively with shopper, sales, marketing and category teams to identify, build and implement shopper growth solutions across our key accounts
  • Alongside the Shopper Activation Manager, manage in store marketing plans across various categories & brands , managing and aligning internal stakeholders along the way
  • Work with our suppliers and shopper agencies to develop and implement ideas to support shopper, category and marketing initiatives with our customers (e.g mailers, displays, POS), ensuring the cost is within budget & artwork is per brand & account guidelines
  • Deliver best in class sell in presentations for in-store activations to ensure perfect execution
  • Lead our shelf management process at store and with our key customers, developing insights led planograms that mutually benefit JDE and the customer 
  • Build relationships with the retailer space management teams and support them with a shelf management service
  • Develop knowledge and skillset of field sales team on space management principles & shelf strategy
  • Complete the cycle by analysing and reporting on results, providing rationale for change
  • Assist with other category & shopper marketing projects as required
     

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • A passion for coffee and tea
  • 1-2 years work experience in a Sales / Category / Shopper Marketing role within FMCG
  • Strong attention to detail with a love of data / insights and all things consumer and customer
  • Must have knowledge of space management principles & experience with relevant software
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively to drive cross functional success
  • Experience managing projects is ideal but not necessary
