Category description
Roast Whole Beans is one of the fastest growing coffee categories and one of key growth drivers for JDE. Overall category growth is driven by broad consumer trends towards fresh and natural, and JDE has been growing its share ahead of the market driven by right portfolio, innovation and in market execution. Tea category is highly incremental towards our coffee business and JDE strategy has been anchored in premiumization of the category.

The position is based within the Global JDE Marketing team based in Amsterdam and will report to the Global Category Director R&G, Beans, Tea.

Role description

  • Responsible for identifying growth opportunities for both categories, translating them into growth platforms and growth projects, driving and monitoring deployment into markets;
  • Accountable for the global value creation plan of the category, leading impactful product and business innovations, across channels, categories and geographies;
  • Align with Marketing Director R&G, Beans and Marketing Director Tea on prioritization of the initiatives and resource allocation towards initiatives;
  • Align with Brand team on design and portfolio guidelines for innovation;
  • Drive markets alignment and be a lead for 24 months planning calendar of initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in marketing or business studies;
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in marketing role;
  • Proven experience within FMCG with at least 4 years in an international role;
  • You’re a team-player that thrives in ambiguous environments;
  • You’re culturally sensitive and have a strong drive to achieve results;
  • You can easily switch between your strategic and operational responsibilities;
  • You're a natural when it comes to driving improvements and challenging your peers.
