Job Description

Our JDE Global Operations and R&D teams seeks for the best innovations and continuously strengthens our production processes by using the newest and most sophisticated technologies. In the current highly competitive FMCG market this is the only way to survive. Innovations are one of the most important themes for which Subsidies and Other Benefits are made available.

In your role as Global Subsidies and Grants Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing the JDE’s Grants & Subsidies policy, strategy and objectives
  • Continuously seek for and identify new Subsidies & Grants opportunities
  • Lobbying and participation in (inter)national committees
  • Govern the subsidies claim and collection process for existing and new opportunities
  • Contributing to R&D claims undertaken by the company
  • Co-creating control frameworks, setting up systems and automating processes

You act as a finance business partner towards the Global Operations and R&D team and you are as well a custodian for compliance with the applicable subsidies regulations.

Qualifications

To be successful in your role as Global Subsidies and Grants Manager you have relevant work experience in identifying subsidy opportunities and submitting subsidy claims both in a National and International Environment, you have in-depth knowledge on the Dutch R&D Credits scheme (Wet Bevordering Speur- en Ontwikkelingswerk) and other schemes (e.g. Sustainable Energy Production, Energy Savings Investments and others) and you have a deep interest in understanding both the technical and financial side of the Research & Development function.

You will actively collaborate with different corporate functions, such as R&D, Global Manufacturing, Tax and Finance as well as external advisors. You are a strong networker, able to communicate well with senior management internally as well as external customers. You have an excellent track record in controlling being a custodian, understanding team dynamics and steering the business on delivering superior results. You will report into the Global Financial Control Director and become part of a team of ~50 professionals.

A Master degree in in either finance or, engineering, science and/or technology with 5+ years of experience is required for this role. Experience in working in a subsidies consulting practice  is considered advantageous.
