About the role
As the Financial Controller New Zealand, you will report to the Finance Manager of New Zealand, with a small team (4 direct reports). Your responsibilities will include;

  • Leading financial shared services (General Ledger, Receivables and outsourced Payables), management accounting, financial and statutory reporting, audit, and annual budgeting
  • Leading month end closing activities across the Finance function
  • Providing timely and accurate reporting 
  • Working in partnership with other members of the finance and broader business team in regard to shared services
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Implementing appropriate systems and processes to ensure accurate management information is available to inform business decision making
  • Continually improving systems and processes for better efficiency, reliability and productivity
     

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

  • CA/CPA qualifications
  • Extensive exposure to SAP, particulary in G/L Management
  • Ideally a background in FMCG (but not essential)
  • Good skills in implementing a change agenda, strong organisational skills
  • Leadership capability and a passion to deliver excellent results with and through your team
  • Planning, analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to find and develop creative solutions
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in team building and people development
