Job Description


We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician. As our new team member, you will live, breathe and drive continuous improvement of our production and maintenance operations. This will include maximising the efficiency of our machines, minimising breakdowns and change-over times and reducing the running costs. It will also be a hands-on role where you are responsible for general maintenance, changeovers and some operational work. 
As a preventative maintenance and breakdown expert with a high level of mechanical aptitude, you will oversee the operation and maintenance of plant equipment, ensuring an environment free of hazards, where standard operating procedures are followed and facilities are kept in a compliant and safe state of repair.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and experience:

  • Recognised Trade Qualification (manufacturing/industrial) – Fitter and Turner
  • Basic ability to work with PLC’s
  • Previous maintenance experience within a FMCG factory or similar environment
  • Relevant experience with Scada and weighing systems
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Advanced mechanical and pneumatic fault finding and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of GMP
  • Strong focus on the customer and other people (including the team), their concerns and requirements, with a proactive attitude to assisting them
  • PC literacy skills

Additional Information

This role is based at 305 East Tamaki Road. We run a 3-shift operation (must be flexible as required) and offer paid overtime.  Must be flexible to work either 3.30pm - 12am or 11.45pm - 7.45am
