Job Description

The exponential growth of technology has made IT one of the critical success factors for every business function within JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS. In order to enable IT as a competitive advantage , we are currently transforming our IT department towards “One Platform” which allows us to quickly facilitate change and growth through the standardization and hyper customization of our technology. This transformation is managed by the Global Information Services department (GIS ), which operates  in the expertise areas : Service & Operations, Enterprise Solutions, and Strategy & Planning.

For the Strategy & Planning team, we are currently looking to hire a talented Vendor Manager with a wide range of experience in managing the contracts and performance for suppliers and system providers in IT. 

As a Vendor Manager at JDE you will be responsible for:  

  • Enabling the future objectives on contract- and risk management with our vendors; 
  • Managing the performance relationship; 
  • Sourcing new vendors in close cooperation with our procurement team. 
  • Creating the best cost for value delivered on our systems and technology. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a talented professional who understands the contractual, commercial and operational working relationships with vendors to ensure the effective delivery on external IT services. In this job opportunity, we have an interesting career challenge for a creative problem solver, who is able to support our activities as a seasoned adviser and add value to the way we perform vendor management for our IT department.  

Our preferred candidate would also have: 

  • A bachelor or master’s degree in IT or a related field of study;  
  • Between 5 and 7 years of experience in vendor- and contract management in IT; 
  • The ability to speak and write English on a professional level;
  • Well-developed people & stakeholder management skills;
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills.
