Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Logistics Specialist who will be joining our Greek business.
Reporting to Logistics Manager South Central Europe, you will be based in Athens and responsible to undertake tasks such as:
Ensuring the accuracy of Warehousing & Distribution data: volumes, costs, accrual vs invoice, and KPI management
Cost control of Warehousing and Distribution activities: budgeting, in-depth analysis of cost development, monitoring of relevant cost drivers incl. payment terms
Acting as point of contact with 3PLs to manage inbound & outbound operational issues.
Execute optimization projects together with 3PLs
Inventory management to maximize stock reliability with minimized cost (daily reconciliation analysis)
Pallet management for CHEP & white movements
Monitoring and improving performance and costs
Maintaining daily, weekly and monthly statistics, including Supply Chain cost KPIs
Generating ad hoc reports and analyses of various qualitative and quantitative data / KPIs
Liaising with key customers and suppliers to maximize efficiency and optimize cost-to-serve
Checking quality and coordinating issues with manufacturers
Delivering to internal and external customers according to the demand plan (quality / time / cost); implementing central & external best practices (pooling, transport optimization etc.)
Qualifications
Tertiary degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Maritime Economics etc; relative MSc will be considered a plus
3 years of professional experience in logistics or transport
Prior knowledge of retail / FMCG markets will be considered a further asset
Knowledge of relevant SAP modules; understanding of EDI / WMS
Understanding the Warehouse and Distribution process and able to identify and implement continuous improvements
Fluency in English and Greek (written and spoken)
Advanced analytical and numerical skills
Solid communication skills; influencing without authority
Sense of discipline; ability to follow due process, combined with a continuous improvement approach
Proven track record of successfully balancing conflicting priorities and working under tight deadlines
An entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and positive approach
