Job Description

Tassimo is the leading single-serve coffee drinks system in Western Europe and is present in 20 countries, with over 10 million active households. The system is well known for its large branded drink variety delivering high quality coffee drinks at a touch of a button. Key geographies are Western / Central & Eastern Europe and China. Launched in 2004, Tassimo has been one of the key driving brands in the establishment and growth of the single-serve category and is one of JDE’s strongest global brands. Tassimo continues to be successful with appliance sales of over 2 million per year, in close cooperation with its appliance partner BSH.

 

In your role as the Global Marketing Manager Tassimo you will be responsible for the Tassimo appliance portfolio performance and oversee JDE’s appliance investments across countries. You will develop and implement a streamlined appliance strategy and overall drinks portfolio strategy with markets, that are linked to the overall strategy of the company, category strategies, budget setting and target achievement.

 

In addition, you will be responsible for the appliance strategy alignment with BSH on a global level, and driving local implementation. You will be accountable for the drinks portfolio, and will be leading the appliance portfolio and activation strategy, help setting the innovation agenda and building business excellence through identifying and rolling out global best practices, and implementing business planning tools.

 

Together with the Marketing Director Tassimo, you’re expected to realize a significant growth of the Tassimo brand. You will do this in close alignment with the Global Marketing Manager ‘Brand Equity’, the Appliance Partnering Director, the Innovation Marketing Team and the Ecommerce Team.

 

Detailed responsibilities:

 

  • Is responsible for the appliance business performance in strong cooperation with BSH
  • Leads all aspects of Tassimo appliance business activation in all markets
  • Leads set up and development of the Joint Business Plan for all markets during AOP, ensures alignment with BSH and follows up during the year with markets to deliver the results in line with budgets and targets.
  • Develops Appliance support strategy aiming at optimizing placement cost and accelerating penetration build across markets.
  • Creates appliance portfolio roadmaps with countries based on their stage in lifecycle and determines price architecture (partitioning and indexing)
  • Manages day-to-day sales linkage with BSH, covering topics related to in-store, promotions and appliance range/ channel development
  • Drives drinks portfolio optimizations, focusing on SKUs that develop incremental throughput and value share to the Tassimo system and secures implementation of strategic price & format partitions
  • Responsible for assessment, strategy setting and implementation of geographical expansion of Tassimo system
  • Is accountable for meeting the targets of the Tassimo brand
  • Exemplifies the attitude to be the best in class coffee company for the Tassimo brand

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master’s degree combined with 10+ years of international Marketing & Sales experience, preferably with a coffee system brand in general or Tassimo specifically. Previous partnership management experience is considered highly advantageous.

 

You’ve successfully managed a category in a FMCG company where you have a track record of initiating and driving growth successfully. You have a solid experience in food products and category management, experience in Household Appliances is considered advantageous.
