As our Global Buyer for Glass Packaging, you will have a vital role in the Packaging Procurement team. Your main goals will be to manage the gradual transition of the portfolio from European to Global, support the Category Managers in a variety of critical negotiations (and partly lead them as well), run innovation projects, and be a role model in the team for strategy creation and implementation.

Your main challenges in this role will be to:

• actively engage your stakeholders to understand business requirements and align an optimal portfolio strategy
• manage our suppliers’ services to JDE sites (quality, on time, in full deliveries) and to actively develop supplier partnerships to identify and develop ongoing total cost reductions
• support and lead critical negotiations in the portfolio and provide support on innovation projects

To be successful in this challenging role, you will bring at least a Bachelor’s degree and several years of hard earned procurement experience in a challenging, global role. This allows you to  work at pace, make quick decisions and you’re accustomed to dealing with ambiguous environments. Your strong procurement process knowledge allows you to serve as a role model in the procurement organization
