Job Description

As our new Global Category Manager Laminates, you will have a critical position within the Packaging Procurement team. Leading two Global Buyers, you will be addressing a rapidly growing spend in the laminates portfolio. The core goals will be lead the way to expected margin targets, manage a variety of different stakeholders who will be working with you very directly and closely, to develop and empower the Global Buyers, and to mature the category overall and prepare for future growth.

Your main challenges will be to:

  • Understanding business requirements
  • Manage various sub-categories with the support of Buyers
  • Put sourcing strategies in place for all portfolios and align with internal stakeholders
  • Use of sophisticated pricing models (roll-out to regions)
  • Active involvement in sourcing decisions outside of Europe (Brazil, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand etc.)
  • Be ready to integrate new business (i.e. SuperGroup)
  • Lead innovation projects
  • Develop and empower Global Buyers

Qualifications

To be successful in this challenging role, you will bring a Master’s degree and several years of hard earned procurement experience in a challenging, global role. This allows you to  work at pace, make quick decisions and you’re accustomed to dealing with ambiguous environments. Your strong procurement process knowledge allows you to serve as a role model in the procurement organization

You have the 4C’s (curiosity, creativity, courage, connection), strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. (Those details might be discussed all the way to the top when it comes to costs). We want you to be able to speak up and collaborate with outspoken people.

Teamwork and empowering others is at the essence - lone wolves will not get as far – while being action-oriented and hands on in nature. You easily work cross functionally and you understand the implications of procurement decisions, particularly in the Packaging category.
