Job Description

Business context of the role:

As part of the UK&I HR team this HR Change Project Lead role is aligned within the UK manufacturing operation at our Banbury site. The Banbury site is responsible for the production of brands including Tassimo, Kenco and L’Or and is the home of circa 500 direct and indirect associates.

 About the role:

The HR Change Project Lead will play a critical role in driving & delivering organsational change across the Manufacturing site. Supporting the site leadership team the HR Change Project Lead will ensure the people agenda is at the heart of the change programme, supporting a broader project team to simplify the organization structure whilst driving a performance culture and enhancing associate engagement.  The role is generalist in nature with a high level of employment and industrial relations involed.

Key responsibilities of the role:  

  • Provides expert knowledge to the local management and the project team on managing local labour relations (unions, works councils etc.). Work with local managers in dealing with front line associate issues, including the management of performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, absence and queries around shifts/compensation and benefits.
  • Project lead and end to end delivery of all ER and Industrial Relations knowledge, ways of working and roll out of practises.
  • Coordinate & implement the specific HR processes needed within the scope of the organizational change
  • Deliver and support the individual people impact as we move through the change project.
  • Support, coach, train & partner leaders and associates through change.
  • Work closely with the Union, Project Manager, Legal Manager to ensure transparent communication and clear understanding.
  • Monitors compliance of local HR policies, procedures and documentation with local regulations and proactively flags issues of non-compliance. 
  • Work with project team to streamline grading and role responsibility.

Qualifications

Education:

  • CIPD qualified or working towards

  • Degree level education - ideal

Must have:

  • Expert knowledge of employment relations and previous experience of working with trade unions and industrial relations processes and approach.

  • Proven project management experience

  • Proven experience of delivering organisational change

  • Can do attitude to roll up sleeves and get into the detail

  • Excellent communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience in an FMCG Manufacturing environment
