Job Description

With close to 17 million active households in 4 countries, the Senseo coffee system is the most successful and largest single serve system in Western Europe. Launched in 2001, the system is still today accredited for its convenience, large coffee variety, quality and great price/value equation, and the system continues to be the market leader with sales of over 3 million appliances annually.

 

Every year, over 6 billion cups of JDE coffee are enjoyed with the Senseo coffee system, from both Senseo coffee pads as well as strong local coffee brands such as Douwe Egberts and Jacobs.

 

The Senseo Global marketing team is responsible for business- and brand growth across the globe. The team focuses on the development and execution of Brand- and Marketing strategies to build superior brand- and product value.

 

The Global Marketing Manager reports to the Global Marketing Director.

 

In your role as Global Marketing Manager you lead the Senseo brand equity across categories and countries. You will develop and implement a consistently high quality brand strategy that is linked to the overall strategy of the company, category strategy and target achievement.

 

The Global Marketing Manager implements the global communication strategy, develops global communication campaigns and is responsible for design.

 

Together with the Marketing Director Senseo, you are expected to realize a significant growth of the Senseo brand. You will do this in close alignment with the Global Marketing Manager ‘Portfolio & Appliance’, the Innovation Marketing Team, The Philips Marketing team and Local market teams.

 

Detailed responsibilities:

 

  • Global owner and guardian of Seseo brand positioning, brand meaning & visual identity, including a responsibility for developing packaging design guidelines and web guidelines

  • Handles the total marketing mix of the Senseo brand and is on top of the in-market performance of the communication toolkit

  • Defines and delivers communication strategy for Brand Equity and product Innovations, translates this into winning communication with our Global Agencies, and lands this in an inspiring global communication playbook

  • Briefs and delivers Digital campaigns for product innovations, as well as an always-on strategy and content creation for the Brand Equity platform

  • Sets media- and investment guidelines together with the Global Media team

  • Responsible for budget setting and providing input to the Global Marketing Director regarding AOP

  • Ensures a consistent presence of the Senseo Brand at all consumer touchpoints in close cooperation with Digital, Ecommerce and DTC teams as well as the Philips communication team

  • Enhance best practices of countries by leading evaluating and enabling global roll-out of these best practices

  • Is accountable for meeting the targets of the Senseo brand

  • Exemplifies the attitude to be the best in class coffee company for the respective brands.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master’s degree combined with 7+ years marketing experience in local & global roles. You have a successful track record as a marketer of brands which are emotionally important for the end customers.

 

You’ve managed a category in a FMCG company, where you’ve been able to create successful online marketing campaigns, while understanding and knowing how to work with a consumer decision journey, including experience in optimizing investments.
