Job Description

Business context of the role:

As part of the UK&I HR team, this HR Services Manager role is responsible for HR Services related to the local UK&I markets. This team supports and advises the business, based on their substantive expertise, on issues concerning their knowledge areas. This work involves co-creation / collaboration with global and functional business units, to provide a 'Centre of Excellence' in their field of expertise.

The businesses are supported for all ‘generalist’ HR aspects per Business unit (BU) by an HR Business Partner.

About the role:

The HR Services Manager is a critical role contributing to the formulation of HR policy of JDE UK&I, applying this and Global C&B policy/‘playbooks’, and ensuring organizational and personnel management of HR Services processes and employees.  The role covers all BUs in the UK & Ireland, to ensure legal compliance, collective labour agreements, and payments are made on time and correctly, employee files are up-to-date and reliable management / steering information is available. The focus areas include:

  • Compensation & Benefits; responsible for market-level employment policy (remuneration, insurances, car fleet management, mobility)
  • HR Services; responsible for executing and communicating personnel and salary administration and related management information for all business units in the UK & Ireland (c. 800 Associates). The ‘hire-to-retire’ cycle.
  • Reporting and Analytics
  • Payroll and pensions

 

Qualifications

 Education:

  • Degree level education or otherwise
  • CIPD or other appropriate professional qualification

 Must have:

  • Knowledge of HR generalist processes and approach.
  • Knowledge of payroll/pension/compensation benefits activities within a blue chip business
  • Experience working across complex functional structures and BUs.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management.
  • Experience of continuous improvement within HR Services.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Inspiring team leadership style

Nice to have:

  • Experience in an FMCG environment

  • Experience in an international environment with HQ based overseas.
