Job Description

The Global Expense Team resides under Global Transactional Finance Department, based in Utrecht. The team manages the JDE Global Expense program and is among others responsible for timely review, approval and reimbursement of expense reports submitted by JDE’s employees. It does so by adhering to JDE Global Travel & Expense policies and tracks and reports on compliance to these policies. The team is owner of JDE’s Expense Tool (Concur) and maintains the tool in coordination with IT.

The Job demands being able to easily connect with stakeholders and internal partners like local (business and finance) management, global Finance (Record to Report), JDE IT and third party service providers  (Concur and Global Transactional Finance (outsourced) a.o.). Additional languages, on top of Dutch and English, is preferred.

This position interacts directly with our employee base and with service providers to ensure compliance to our Corporate Credit Card and T&E policies through daily processing of expense claims. This position works closely with its manager, Accounts Payables Administration, IT and Third Party Service Provider (Concur) to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Qualifications

The Global Expense Specialist must be able to work in a fast-paced (~200 expense reports per day) and team-oriented environment with a customer focus and excellent attention to detail and compliance. The position requires the ability to prioritize work, demonstrate strong accountability, good judgment, and meet established deadlines.

To be successful in this role, you will at least have a Bachelor Degree, have 2+ years of relevant experience gained within the FMCG or in another related environment, and ideally you will have experience with Concur and/or SAP.

Communication skills in English, verbally as well as in writing, is critical to this role. With this you will also bring a good sense of intercultural awareness. You possess strong leadership skills and are able to motivate & inspire large groups of individuals, while being a good listener for your internal and external stakeholders.
