Job Description

Reporting to the Global Communications Director, as a member of the Corporate & Government Affairs team, you will play a key role in bringing to life major company and brand milestones around the world. One day you are working with the sustainability team to launch a new water quality project in Vietnam, the next you are shooting an internal film back in Amsterdam with a member of the Executive Committee.

About The Role

  • Protects and enhances the corporate story and brand identity;
  • Partners with various global functions to develop and deploy compelling communication programs (including HR and sustainability);
  • Translates global messaging into relevant and targeted local communication opportunities;
  • Participates in the early detection and resolution of corporate issues and crises, including the annual review of the companies external communications landscape;
  • Represents JDE’s voice in the media on a diverse range of subject (positive and negative);
  • Champions JDE’s corporate communications drumbeat, bringing together internal and external communication opportunities to create a robust annual communications calendar together with the global communications team, other central functions and local market champions;
  • Coaches managers and functions, to improve the baseline quality of JDE communications;
  • Drives a mobile internal collaboration mindset, where leaders become inspirational role models online;
  • Identifies opportunities to celebrate success/ best practice sharing and translate these into compelling internal content;

Qualifications

  • A degree qualified Communications professional with more than 5 years commercial experience in Public Relations, Marketing or Corporate Communications;
  • Excellent written and spoken English;
  • The ability to tell a compelling fact based story, that links back to the corporate strategy;
  • Demonstrated experience working on the front line as a company spokesperson;
  • A passion for all things digital and a natural ability to leverage technology to your advantage;
  • The ability to influence senior peers without direct authority, driving fast actions that generate business value;
