Job Description

The JDE Financial Controlling team is responsible for the monthly reporting cycle of the various International Headquarter departments. In addition, the team is responsible for the financial reporting of a number of corporate entities. The financial controlling team works closely with the Global Accounting & Reporting, Tax and Treasury teams and in addition supports the IHQ Business Controllers in their role as co-pilot of the business.

In your role as Financial Controller you will be responsible for the timely and accurate financial (internal and external) reporting of the Global functions within JDE headquarters. This covers accounting of the complex transactions in SAP and timely charging of central costs to multiple worldwide group entities according to IFRS standards. You will also be responsible for monitoring compliance with IFRS of specific accounting subjects, reviewing the balance sheet on accuracy and completeness, reviewing the income statement and executing internal controls for over 20 reporting entities. Next to that you will support the Finance Manager and tax departments in preparing financial statements and tax returns. 

You will report to the Finance Manager of Koninklijke Douwe Egberts, the role has no direct reports.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in finance. You will have 6+ years of professional expertise gained in an audit firm as well as proven experience as a financial controller with a multinational organization (regardless of sector). You have experience with working in SAP according to IFRS standards, and with statutory & tax reporting. You are a solid performer, work meticulously, thoroughly and able to stand your ground in a factual discussion. Good understanding of tax accounting is considered advantageous.
