Job Description

 

  • You are, in close collaboration with the Marketing Director, responsible for developing and implementing the marketing strategy to meet the objectives of your categories.
  • You are the driving force in establishing a clear brand vision & strategy that is translated into a solid AOP (Annual operation plan) and VCP (Value Creation plan).
  • You are responsible for:
  • Developing, implementing and following up on the AOP strategy & projects in close collaboration with Marketing Director and the global marketing team.
  • Continuous follow up of your category P&L to ensure that business objectives are reached.
  • Developing and implementing the complete marketing mix (4P’s) to generate growth
  • Close collaboration with agencies (media as well as creative agencies) to develop highly successful and effective (activation) campaigns
  • Analysing consumer research and market data as Nielsen/Gfk to understand potential business opportunities or to execute required corrective actions
  • Developing and implementing a go-to-market plan, working with all departments (Sales, Finance, Shopper Marketing, Planning…) to execute activations or launch innovations
  • Collaborating with international work groups (Category Teams, R&D, …) to develop your brands and categories within the defined strategic framework for the category
  • You will be in charge of a team of 3 or 4 Brand Managers. You’ll be responsible for their daily coaching and development within the organization.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 7-10 years marketing experience in FMCG is required.
  • You have a solid experience in all aspects of Marketing (incl. digital media) in a local role. Global experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills are required to manage the business internally & externally.
  • You have a clear drive for results and demonstrate a real ‘can do’ mentality.
  • You have excellent analytical skills, allowing you to understand complex issues and shape ideas.
  • Strong understanding of customer and consumer dynamics are required.
  • You are a true team player; capable of driving the agenda both on a local and international level. This displaying organizational maturity and flexibility.
  • You excel in positive energy and optimism.
  • Role model of leadership skills and a proven successful experience in team coaching.
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
