Job Description

Technology Coordinator (TC) is responsible for training, modeling, and assisting teachers in integrating technology in the classroom to improve student achievement and ensure that every student meets and exceeds the school’s standards, mission and vision. The TC acquires and updates skills as necessary for effectively training users in applications on the network, and coordinates activities of outside vendors, consultants and trainers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Represent the school in meetings related to curriculum and instruction in regard to writing and technology.

· Participate in the development and implementation of the school’s technology plan.

· Provide leadership and direction for the development and continuous improvement of school’s technology to yield the highest standards of student achievement and instructional excellence.

· Assists with the general maintenance of all school and network workstations and printers.

· Support all aspects of instructional and curricular integration of technology.

· Assist professional staff with the utilization of various software, technology applications, and Google suite resources.

· Plan, coordinate, and communicate computer applications, technology strategies, and software to integrate in curriculum and instruction.

· Teach and implement a sequential program of study, following school directives, for teaching students the use of computers and educational technology, information retrieval and research, manipulation of data, visual and audio presentation, and coding.

· Provides primary support for educational technology and integrated learning systems for the school.

· Develop a list of parents who might volunteer their services as computer aides, technical assistants, or fund raisers. 16) Develop contacts with vendors who are willing to provide loans of hardware and software, or assist in training educators.

· Develop a school technology resource center to be used by school leaders, teachers, and students. The resource center may contain hardware, software, courseware, and instructional support materials such as books, periodicals and journals, films, and video tapes.

· Work with curriculum and instruction administrator to write grants for implementation of technology related educational programs.

· Provides training for all educational technology including wireless tablet devices, and a variety of other educational software and devices.

· Assists with the development and implementation of technology curriculum.

· Participate in the development of curricular standards and benchmarks to encourage appropriate use technology.

· Develop, implement, and periodically evaluate a school technology oriented in-service plan.

· Work with educators to develop lesson plans and activities involving use of technology to further attainment of educational goals.

· Inform teachers of new technologies or software which may assist in developing concepts of content specific materials.
Monitors, Updates and Maintains school website
Processes and negotiate technology equipment purchase
Identifies grant funding opportunities for technology resources
Oversees and monitors technology fees.
Monitors and updates in coordination with the marketing team social media websites.
Tracks and inventories technology equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot technology equipment and apps for parents, students and staff
Ability to post marketing announcements on Renweb and other identified social media platforms.
Ability to set up equipment for school assemblies and other school-based functions that include technology resources (microphones, digital screens, chrome books, laptops, desktops etc.)
Ability to teach teachers how to build and create websites.
