Job Description
Who we are looking for:
- The eligible candidate must be between the age of 15 and 30 years old.
- Must be legally permitted to work in Canada as a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the immigration Refugee Protection Act.
- The eligible candidate will work for 8 weeks, 35 hours per week from July 7th, 2025.
- The wage is $17.20 per hour.
The candidate will report into the Executive Director. The Recreational Activities Program Coordinator helps in the coordination and execution of events including meetings, regular IWOO programs.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Interest or experience in working with children and youth in a group setting
- Responsible, enthusiastic, and reliable team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Farsi
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and the Board
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and solution-oriented
- Availability for occasional weekend or evening work
Additional Information
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating recreational programs and group activities
- Support the setup, supervision, and cleanup of activities and events
- Engage with children, youth, and seniors in a positive, respectful, and inclusive manner
- Monitor safety and well-being of participants during programming
- Help prepare activity materials and maintain supplies
- Assist in outreach and promotion of recreational events through flyers and social media
- Support team members and volunteers during events and workshops
- Contribute to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive space for all participants
