Job Description

The Paramedic is  responsible to provide efficient and immediate medical care to client members.

Qualifications

 

  • Must have a formal Paramedic diploma, certification or bachelor’s degree.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in remote environments.
  • Hold and maintain a current Paramedic license from country of origin.
  • Must have current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) or PreHospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), 
  • Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)  and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS),Emergency Paediatric Care (EPC) or equivalent are desirable.
  • Training qualifications or experience in delivering emergency care training is desirable

 

Additional Information

 

  • Provide primary and emergency medical treatment in accordance with approved protocols and licensure.
  • Licensed Paramedic (EU recognised or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience after being certified as a registered paramedic. 
  • Knowledge and working experience as a Paramedic in emergency medicine, pre-hospital care and transport medicine. 
  • General professional experience: experience as paramedic ambulance driver in the context of military ambulance, UN level 1, 2 or 3, humanitarian aid, natural disaster sites, post conflict areas, or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Specific professional expeditious experience: at least 2 years of serving paramedic ambulance driver; “medical currency”, i.e. proven record of working as a paramedic ambulance driver within the last twelve (12) months prior of a deployment to the Mission, demonstrating involvement in at least 3 days a week as an paramedic ambulance driver, on average, during this period. 
  • Fluency in English
