Job Description

Role Summary:

The role will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining communication and server networks to a high standard.  Ensuring the integrity of high availability networks and provide maximum performance for end users.  While ensuring that the three pillars of IT security are adhered to across the business.  The candidate will be expected to grow into covering cyber security aspects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Infrastructure

  • Point of Authority for Infrastructure design and approval
  • Manage and monitor performance of the Iqarus Occupational Health infrastructure team
  • Coordinate infrastructure projects with infrastructure resources
  • Carry out the daily support and maintenance of the Iqarus IT Infrastructure
  • Execution of Infrastructure related projects for the development, enhancement or decommissioning of the Iqarus IT infrastructure.
  • Maintenance and monitoring of the health and effectiveness of the Iqarus IT Infrastructure.
  • Carry out infrastructure projects as directed by the Head of IT.
  • Assist in the production and maintenance of infrastructure inventory, process and procedure documentation.
  • Ensure alignment of Iqarus IT infrastructure to Iqarus security standards, policies and industry best practices
 

Security

  • Ensure that Iqarus adheres to the 3 pillars of IT security: Confidentiality, integrity & availability
  • Ensure business alignment to ISO 27001
  • Manage and maintain relevant IT policies, particularly: security and access
  • Set and maintain secure IT encryption keys and enforce their use
  • Created, maintained, tested & monitor, fit for purpose IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans
  • Ensure robust backup process are in place and are adhered to
  • Ensure robust access controls are in place and that system access is monitored, audited and reviewed regularly

Qualifications

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Significant experience working in an IT support environment and in IT infrastructure
  • Experience with implementing the three pillars of IT security
  • Qualifications in IT infrastructure related subject desirable
  • SSCP qualifications desirable
 

Knowledge of the following:

  • Server and SAN hardware

  • Windows Server Operating Systems (Server 2008 R2 and up)
  • Security/AV Products (Mimecast, Sophos AV, Endpoint encryption, Bitlocker)
