Job Description

Healthcare Provision

  • Provide onsite routine health care and advice to offshore personnel in line with medic standing order (MSO)
  • Provide onsite emergency medical care 24 hours per day in line with MSO
  • Seek appropriate and timely consultation/advice from Topside Service
  • Arrange any required medevac cases in accordance with protocols
  • Maintain stock levels of all medications, including safe custody of controlled drugs and maintenance of controlled drugs register
  • Maintain clear and concise medical records
  • Management of clinical waste
  • Ensure all equipment and gases are functional, regularly inspected and maintained including calibration of required items
  • Lead first aid team and co-ordinate all first aid teams activities and regular training
  • Completion of relevant administrative tasks inclusive vantage and heli admin when required
  • Maintain all eye wash, earplug and lens cleaning stations
  • Water sampling
  • Awareness of IADC and OSHA guidelines
  • Provide input to Company Medical Advisor on work related health issues.
  • Complete OGUK Medicals 
  • Perform random and ‘with cause’ drug and alcohol testing
  • Any other duties are required and agreed by COMPANY and CONTRACTOR

Radiation

  • Radiation Protection Supervisor: Nominated competent person “Radiation Protection Supervisor” in line with COMPANY Radiation Procedures.

Event Investigation and Reporting

  • Administration of the COMPANY Event Reporting System – provide guidance to supervisors on Event Reporting and Investigation Procedure.

Safety

  • Complete Safety Inductions in line with COMPANY Induction Process– Donut trainer, Skyscape, lifeboat placement and use, PPE and how they can be used, mustering protocols etc

Occupational Health

  • Noise – Nominated competent person for noise and compliance with noise issues, complete dosimetry as per defined plan.
  • Occupational Hygiene Monitoring – Periodic monitoring within the COMPANY annual plan.
  • Benzene Testing: Provide guidance on Benzene SOP to all parties and provide training on gas detector.
  • COSHH Focal Point – Provide guidance on COMPANY Control of Substances Hazardous to Health SOP.  Complete COSHH assessments as required.
  • Manual Handling – Provide guidance on Manual Handling SOP and Bodyguard process to all users.  Sanction risk assessments within the system.
  • Display Screen Equipment Focal Point – Provide guidance on DSE SOP to all personnel and monitor compliance within the Cardinus database.
  • Respiratory Protective Equipment – Provide guidance on RPE SOP and complete Face Fit Testing as required.
  • Vibration – Provide guidance to supervisors on COMPANY HAV SOP and expectations.
  • Asbestos – Maintain the installation asbestos register and provide guidance to supervisors on COMPANY Asbestos SOP.
  • Legionella – Act as platform Legionella focal point in accordance with relevant SOP.
  • Hydrogen Sulphide – Provide guidance to supervisors on MOUK H2S SOP.
  • Daily, weekly and monthly Pot water analysis (pH, temperature etc)

Platform Emergency Exercises

Prepare and coordinate weekly platform emergency exercises and maintain records of individual Platform Manager/OIM in compliance with OPITO standards. Training

  • Coordinate and maintain records of all nominated First Aiders as per designated plan.
  • Provide training on all medical elements of the Emergency Response Team training and submit record of attendance to Operations focal point.
  • Complete Coxswains training as per defined matrix and submit records to Operations focal point.
  • Provision of training on an ad hoc basis on various occupational health and safety topics as required (casualty handling etc)

Auditing

  • Primary Function Monitoring as per platform matrix.
  • Safety Conversation Cards as per platform structure.
  • Occupational Health Checks
  • Permit to Work Audits as per platform plan.

Administrative Duties

  • Collate SC Card/ASA, etc.
  • Collate PTW Audits.
  • Support Platform Manager with collation of trip brief content.

Support Platform Manager with administration of Safety Rep meetings.
