Job Description

 

Supporting the on-site emergency response capability and management of medical emergencies, with limited primary healthcare coverage. 

Qualifications

 

 

  • ALS Paramedic or equivalent qualification 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a hospital setting 
  • English speaking 

 

Additional Information

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Provide appropriate support on site for the management of medical emergencies, including stabilization, and transport via road ambulance to the main Syama site clinic
  • Support with the provision of a limited primary health care service on site 

  • Comply with project-specific Medevac plan 

  • Comply with Iqarus operations standards and manuals, e.g. Clinical Guidelines, Formulary and Standard Operating Procedures 

  • Maintain comprehensive confidential medical records of all patient attendances/contacts 

  • Maintain patient confidentiality 

  • Protect project-specific client information 

  • Report any occupational illness and injuries in line with Resolute Mining QHSE programme 

  • Ensure that the ambulance and onsite clinic (if one is to be provided on site) is kept clean and tidy and is prepared for operational delivery at all times 

  • Ensure the medical inventory and stock levels are maintained and that all equipment is functional
